Email marketing & follow-up

Emails your customers actually open.

The enquiry follow-up, the review request, the seasonal reminder and the monthly newsletter — set up once, run every month, written in your voice.

Sound familiar?

The emails that never got sent

Nobody plans to ignore their customers. It just happens, one busy week at a time.

The Mailchimp nobody's opened since 2023

Set up with good intentions, one campaign sent, then silence. The list is still there and still worth something — it just needs someone to run it.

Enquiries that never got a second email

They asked for a quote, you replied once, they went quiet. No reminder, no follow-up, and the job went to whoever rang back on Thursday.

The review you forgot to ask for

The customer was delighted. You meant to ask. Three weeks later it's awkward, and the next person searching sees your competitor's reviews instead of yours.

"We should send a newsletter"

Said in every planning meeting, done in none of them. Not because it's hard — because nobody owns it and nobody has the hour.

What's included

Set up once, running every month

Six pieces. The first is foundations; the rest are the emails that quietly bring customers back.

The platform, set up properly

Mailchimp or similar, in your own account. Consent, unsubscribe and sender identification handled the way the Spam Act requires, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC set so campaigns land in the inbox.

Why business emails go to junk →

Enquiry follow-up sequence

Someone fills in your form and gets a reply that day, a useful nudge a few days later, and a last check-in. Written once, sent automatically, so no quote goes quiet.

Review request flow

A message after the job, timed right, with the link that opens straight onto your Google review box — the same routine as local search and reviews. For registered health practitioners it's built differently: no soliciting testimonials about clinical care, in line with the National Law.

Monthly newsletter

One email a month that's worth opening: what you've been working on, a tip, an offer if there is one. Drafted for you, approved by you, sent on a schedule.

Seasonal campaigns

Smoke-alarm checks before winter, EV charger and solar service reminders, school-term reminders for practices. The right message at the time people are already thinking about it.

Plain-English reporting

Each month: who opened, who clicked, who replied and how many enquiries came from email. One page you'll actually read, alongside what the website, search and Google Ads brought in.

How it works

Set up, write, send, read the numbers

  1. 01

    Set up

We sort the platform, the list, the consent records and the sending domain, then write the follow-up and review sequences with you. Quoted up front as a one-off.

  2. 02

    Write and send

Each month we draft the newsletter and any seasonal campaign in your voice. You approve it in a couple of minutes and it goes out on the day we agreed.

  3. 03

    Read the numbers

Opens, clicks, replies and enquiries, reported in plain English. What worked gets repeated; what didn't gets changed. Month to month, no lock-in — the full price list is on the pricing page.

What it costs

One monthly fee, quoted before we start

Prices are what you pay — no GST is added. Month to month, and the 90-day guarantee applies: if you're not happy in the first 90 days, every monthly fee you've paid comes back — set-up fees and advertising spend excepted.

Why an IT business does email

Email, website, ads and IT.
One roof.

Most email marketing fails on plumbing, not writing: a domain that was never authenticated, a form that doesn't feed the list, a reply that lands in an inbox nobody checks. When the person running your campaigns also runs your email, your website and your ads, those get fixed instead of blamed.

  • Nothing you can't checkEvery number in the report comes from your own account, which you can open any time.
  • It landsSPF, DKIM and DMARC set by the person who manages your email domain.
  • Your voiceDrafted from how you actually talk to customers, approved by you before anything sends.
  • No lock-inMonth to month. The list, the templates and the account stay yours.

FAQ

Fair questions

Isn't email dead?

No. It's the one channel you own: no algorithm deciding who sees it, no per-click bill. A customer who has already bought from you reads an email from you — the trick is sending one worth reading, not sending more.

Do we need a list first?

A list of past customers is enough to start, as long as they'd expect to hear from you and can unsubscribe. If you have nothing yet, we start with the follow-up sequence and a sign-up on the website, and the list builds from real enquiries.

Who writes it?

We do, from a short call each month and the way you already talk to customers. You read it before it goes — usually a two-minute job — and anything that doesn't sound like you gets changed.

How often should we send?

A newsletter once a month, follow-ups when an enquiry comes in, a review request after each job, and a seasonal campaign when there's a genuine reason. Enough to be remembered, not enough to be marked as spam.

What about SMS?

Useful for appointment and job reminders, and bound by the same Spam Act rules on consent and opting out. If it fits, we add it to the follow-up flow; if it doesn't, we'll say so rather than sell it.

Can it plug into our job or practice software?

Usually. Most job and practice systems — simPRO, Tradify, ServiceM8, AroFlo, Cliniko, Splose, Halaxy — can export or sync a customer list, so a finished job or a discharged client can trigger the right email. We check what yours supports before promising anything.
