Why isn't it priced per user?
Because for a team of two to twenty, per-user pricing mostly punishes you for hiring. The IT plans cover up to five people at the flat rate and add $120 a month per person after that, which keeps the number predictable and still fair when you grow. If you'd rather see it per user, divide: Essentials for five people is $120 each; for eight, $127.
What counts as a user?
A person with their own Microsoft 365 login who we support — not shared mailboxes, not meeting rooms, not the printer. A casual who logs in once a fortnight still counts; a contractor you give a guest link to doesn't.
Is there a set-up fee?
For IT plans, only when the first month involves real project work — a migration from Gmail, a tenant that needs rebuilding, a fleet of laptops to enrol. We quote it before you sign so the figure is known. Local search and Google Ads carry a $1,000 set-up because the first month is where most of the work happens; websites are a fixed build price. There's no fee just for starting.
What happens if we grow or shrink?
The fee moves with the headcount, from the next month. Going from Essentials to Secure, or the other way, is a conversation and a one-line change — not a new contract.
Do the prices go up?
Every fee is fixed for at least the first three months, and new clients get six. After that we review it together once a year, with the monthly report showing the hours delivered against the fee, so any change is explained by the work rather than announced in an invoice.
What does the 90-day guarantee cover?
Every monthly fee you've paid in your first 90 days, back in full, if you're not happy for any reason. The exceptions are the one-off set-up fees, which pay for work already done, and advertising spend, which goes to Google or Meta, not to us.
Why no GST on the invoice?
Tidewire isn't registered for GST, so the figure on this page is the figure on the invoice. If that ever changes you'll be told in writing before it affects a bill.
