An unclaimed, half-filled profile
Someone set it up years ago, or Google built it from a directory. No categories, two photos, a description that says nothing. Google can't rank what it can't understand.
Local search & reviews
The three map results under the search bar are where "near me" calls come from. We claim, build and work your Google Business Profile every month, run the review routine, and track where you show up — all in your own accounts.
Sound familiar?
Google shows the three businesses it trusts most for that search in that suburb. Trust is built from details most owners never get time for.
Someone set it up years ago, or Google built it from a directory. No categories, two photos, a description that says nothing. Google can't rank what it can't understand.
The profile says closed at 3 pm on a Tuesday. Someone calls, gets nothing, and rings the next name on the map. You never knew they existed.
Three stars from 2022 and no reply. The next customer reads that as nobody home — and so does Google.
Their work isn't better. They ask every customer, make it easy, and reply. That routine is the whole difference — and it's learnable.
What's included
One of the services we run from one desk for trades and small practices. Everything is set up in your own accounts, in your name.
Primary and secondary categories, service area, hours and holiday hours, photos, the services list with descriptions, and the Q&A seeded with what customers actually ask.
A job finished, a service explained, a seasonal reminder. A quiet signal to Google and to customers that the business is alive and working.
A message after every job, a card to leave behind, a link straight to the review box. Every review answered within days — in your name, with your approval of the wording.
"Switchboard upgrades in Frankston", written, published on your site and linked from the profile — the pages Google needs to rank you beyond your own street.
Yellow Pages, True Local, Localsearch, Hotfrog and Bing Places with the same name, number and hours as Google. Mismatches cost trust, and trust is the ranking.
20–40 search terms checked monthly, profile calls and direction requests, and Search Console and Analytics set up under your own login. The report shows movement, not vanity.
For health practitioners
If you're registered under AHPRA — physio, OT, psychology, podiatry — the National Law's advertising rules apply, and the review routine above is not the one we run for you.
Registered practitioners can't use testimonials about clinical care in their advertising — no soliciting them, no republishing them. A review a patient leaves unprompted on a platform you don't control is a different matter; asking for one, or quoting it on your website, is where the trouble starts. That's our reading of AHPRA's guidance, not legal advice.
The profile gets the same care: categories, hours, photos, the services list, posts about the practice rather than outcomes. The review ask is dropped. Any review that arrives gets a short, generic thank-you that never discusses care. Suburb pages are about services and access, not results.
How it works
Free. We type your services and suburbs into Google and show you where you sit, what your profile is missing, and who's in the map pack instead of you. One plain-English page, no obligation.
The set-up month: profile claimed, verified and built, listings fixed so they agree, the review link and card made, and tracking set up in your own Search Console and Analytics.
A post a week, reviews requested and answered, a suburb or service page every second month, 20–40 terms tracked, and a one-page report. Month to month, no lock-in.
What it costs
What you pay — we're not GST-registered, so nothing is added. Everything is built in your own accounts and stays with you if you stop.
$750 a month · $1,000 one-off set-up
The foundations month, then the routine above, every month.
$1,850 a month
Local search and reviews plus SEO on the website — the wider searches the map pack doesn't cover.
If you're not happy in the first 90 days, every monthly fee you've paid comes back — set-up fees and advertising spend excepted. Every price is on one page, and the Google Business Profile checklist shows what you can do yourself before paying anyone.
Why an IT business does local search
The profile points at the website, the website's pages feed the profile, and the listings have to agree with both. When one person runs all three — and your hosting and Microsoft 365 besides — nothing gets lost between vendors, and a wrong phone number is fixed everywhere in an afternoon.
FAQ
Profile fixes — the right category, hours, photos, reviews answered — tend to move within weeks, because Google re-reads the profile often. New suburb pages take longer to earn their place. The free check tells you where you're starting from, and the monthly report shows movement either way.
A profile can appear without one, but Google trusts a business with a real site more, and the suburb pages need somewhere to live. If you don't have one, a one-page site is enough to start — we build those for tradies.
You set the profile up as a service-area business: the address is hidden and the suburbs you serve are listed instead. You still show in the map for those suburbs. Most tradies and mobile practitioners should be set up this way.
Only ones that break Google's policies — spam, reviews of a different business, people who were never a customer. We flag those through the proper channel and keep a record, but Google decides. For everything else, a calm, factual reply in your name is what the next customer reads.
It's the local half. SEO proper is about your website ranking in the ordinary results for the wider searches; this is about the map pack and the profile. They feed each other, which is why the Growth bundle does both.
Ads buys the paid spots at the top and the sponsored pins, and stops the day you stop paying. Your profile costs nothing to be in and builds over time. If you need work this week, Ads; if you're building for next year, this.
The search check is free: your services, your suburbs, and who's in the map pack instead of you — in plain English, with no obligation.
